Mirza Tarekul Quader, former head of the BUET Information and Publication Office and former GS and president of the BUET Officers Association, is currently undergoing treatment at several hospitals (Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, CMH and 4 others) for cancer. The disease is called Myelow Fibrosis. It is a very complex and difficult disease. He is currently undergoing treatment at Asgar Ali Hospital in Dhaka under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Manjur Morshed, Hematologist. Now medicine dependent treatment is going on. Extensive side effects of medicine have appeared in his body. His body is completely broken.

He is currently at home in Quarantine. The latest and only treatment for this disease is bone marrow transplant, which is very expensive. It is not possible for him alone to provide this money. This operation is not possible in Bangladesh and needs to be taken to Thailand or Singapore. It will cost at least 50 lakh BDT. Mirza Tarekul Quader's physical condition is getting worse. He is now in the risk zone. In addition to taking cancer medicine, he has to be admitted to the hospital and take blood again and again, he has to undergo blood tests - he has to take foreign injections. His sugar level is also very high (28). Besides, he is also undergoing treatment for diabetes.
