At 20 years young and full of life, a girl does what they all do – spread their wings and fly around – dreams of their future with all the colors they can imagine 24/7. Rai, on the other hand, can’t fly, can’t dream – for her wings are no more and imaginations filled with fear and no future. Her poor parents, well no one can dare to be in their shoes – even for a moment, for this is easily the heaviest burden anyone can carry. The picture is as bleak as it gets; however, we can try to give her some hope and strength to fight – fight for her life, and eventually to dream, once again. We can tell poor parents, we’re with you, while you fight the worst nightmare of your life.
Rai has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Lukemia, type M2. She got her first chemo (Cyta-Rubin) on February 24th 2023 at DMCH. On March 24th, she has been moved to Ever Care due to inadequate facility at DMCH. Now she is waiting for Bone Marrow Transplant. Her father, Dr. Rabbi Noor, a graduate of Rangpur Medical College, already exhausted whatever means he had.
Please do whatever you can in these holy days of Ramadan – may be almighty will look at the effort of ours and save these poor souls.
