Application for bone marrow transplant treatment of an 11-year-old child.

Abdullah Al Sajid. Aged 11 years. His father is Sajjad Hossain. Mother Khairum Monira, housewife. His father works at Chilmari Upazila Health Complex in Kurigram. The couple had a happy life with two sons. Suddenly, in July 2023, Sajid was diagnosed with jaundice. The father was worried as the local treatment was not good. Once the jaundice was better, after one month, he was taken to PG on the doctor's advice. Aplastic anemia was detected after various tests. The blood of the body decreases. Darkness descends on life. Professor Dr. Atiqul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Hematology, PG, said that a bone pole transplant is needed to heal. Need 25/30 lakh taka. Sajjat decided to sell his shop to cure his son. With five lakh taka from friends and some of his savings, he went to Brigadier General Dr. Mostafil Karim, the head of the department of the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka, for a bone marrow transplant. On his advice, he was treated at Siraj-Khaleda Hospital, a private hospital in Dhaka. He is now undergoing treatment under his supervision. The medicine needs about Tk 3,500 per day.

The doctor recently said that the treatment is likely to be good. However, the treatment should last a long time (1 to 1.5 years). It is estimated to cost another 15 lakhs. Already, 9 to 10 lakh taka has been spent. It has become almost impossible for Sajjad to meet the ongoing expenses.

Considering this situation, I request that everyone stand beside the child with humanitarian responsibility and cooperate financially for his treatment.
