An appeal to support a Family:
Our 89 batch Dhaka College and DU IBA friend Ashraf Ul Hakim Razzak passed away at 3:21 AM on May 1st in a Chicago hospital due to lung complications. The tragedy of his death has left a deep wound in our heart. May his soul rest in peace. He is buried in Chicago with some local help.
After loosing his job in Bangladesh at the beginning of Covid pandemic, Razzak searched for one for two years without any success. To seek a better life, he wrapped up everything in Bangladesh and came to Chicago, USA on F-1 visa last December to finish his graduate degree at Illinois Institute of Technology that he first attempted many years back. He was admitted to a hospital with breathing problem that got worse very quickly and eventually he succumbed to untimely death. The hopes and dreams of his wife and two young sons (A-level and 8th grade) are quashed in matter of few months. The next chapter of their life is uncertain, due to visa status they will have to leave US very soon. The family is in desperate financial need and mental distraught.
Please donate for this family for their immediate sustenance and two sons’ continuing education. You can contact Shaestagir Chowdhury "[email protected]" or Anwar Sadat "[email protected]" for further information.
