A Junior Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court Anik Hossain’s 5 years old son Araf has been diagnosed with blood cancer on January, 2022 and his chemotherapy started immediately in Bangladesh specialized hospital in Dhaka. The total duration of his chemotherapy is 3.5 years. Now he is on maintenance stage taking chemotherapy at Oncology daycare monthly and he needs to continue for next 21 months. His chemotherapy every month and the associated costs approximately 22-25 thousand taka, and he needs many test before and after chemo as well.

His treatment has become a financial burden on his family, and his father is desperately seeking financial support to ensure he receives the care he needs.

Araf’s dad have exhausted all available assets, including selling his land and his wife's jewelry, to cover Araf’s medical expenses. Unfortunately, Anik’s income has been decreasing due to the time he need to devote to rushing him to the hospital and coordinating with doctors for his treatment.

This challenging situation has also taken a toll on my professional life as I struggle to concentrate on work regularly. His wife, who is dedicated to take care of Araf, is unable to contribute financially.

Ankur’s fundraising efforts for every six months (for next 21 months) with a target for 1.5 lakh taka (around $1400) can take care of his rest of the treatment and get him out of cancer.
